Hi! My name's Onna and I'm a Ph.D. student in Linguistics and Cognitive Science at UCSB. My main research lies within structural and cognitive linguistics. I am fascinated by the myriad of ways one can apply the methods of historical linguistics, typology, corpus linguistics, prototype theory, and various aspects of cognitive science to fields such as semantics, language acquisition, and the neologisms found in internet linguistics.
