Twitteros are Spanish-speaking users of the social networking site Twitter. Twitteros have their own style of communication distinct from written or oral Spanish and rich with innovative abbreviations and alternate spellings.

Socio-cognitive aspects of color term acquisition

Previous research has suggested that children acquire color terms relatively late (around four years old), but are able to distinguish hues rather early (as young as four months). A combination of material culture, cognition, and linguistic input may determine when a child masters color categories.

Digitization and archiving of Northern Chumash 
Obispeño is an extinct language of California. Although it was documented by J.P. Harrington in the early 1900’s, no dictionary or  reference grammar currently exists.
